TAPE & TWEEZERS

It’s no surprise by now I’m a fan of alliteration.

There is something fun about back to back words that start with the same letter. That’s probably why my first book was named Slayin’ Singlehood and a lot of my podcasts have that double letter title, too.

Earlier today, I had to run out to my car for tape & tweezers. I needed tape to wrap up a birthday present for my bestie, and the tweezers for those stubborn hairs that grow in places no woman should find them (any of my lady friends relate? 🙋‍♀️).

And in my quest for finding what I needed, my heart was reminded that life is rarely convenient. There are times we have to go out of our way to do things that we would rather not, but we know we need to. There are times we find ourselves in spaces and places that God has called us to that were not even a blip on our radar in retrospect.

I love that Ecclesiastes tells us that there is a time and a purpose for every season under heaven.

Wherever God has you, there is purpose. Whatever sphere of influence He has placed you in needs YOU…or you wouldn’t be there!

My challenge to you (and myself) is to stop seeing situations as inconvenient, but instead to look for the blessings within them. God is faithful and His plans for us are only ever good. And I pray that we find the blessings in everything and start seeing the purposes in His plans unfolding all around us.
