REMEMBER WHAT THE FATHER SAID

Recently, my husband and I were traveling on a Saturday morning down the highway to a book signing event I was having at Shebrews210 Coffee Shop in Michigan.

Part way through the drive, we hit heavy fog and I instantly went into a panic.

A few weeks prior, we had also been on our way to a coffee shop book signing in Indiana and encountered thick fog with almost zero visibility.

Talk about scary!

This time though, I remembered something my dad told me when I was learning to drive.

“If you are ever driving in fog, keep your eyes on the white line to stay in your lane.”

It not only helped me navigate my way through and out of the fog, it reminded my heart of the voice of my Heavenly Father.

He has given all of us perimeters and boundaries within His Word.

In seasons when we struggle to navigate forward, we have to remember what He’s said.

Fog in our spiritual lives may look like confusion, doubt, uncertainty, or fear.

And in those moments, it’s vital that we remember what He has said.

His promises are our anchors in those times.

He will never leave or forsake us. He makes His footsteps our pathway. His Word is a lamp for our feet and a light for our path. He does not author confusion, but peace. Fear not.

I want to encourage your heart to plant His Word deep within you, so that when you encounter moments of fog you can navigate through by remembering what your Father has said.
